Week 3 of the new Premier League campaign opens with a west London derby duel between Chelsea and Fulham in Saturday's early kick-off. And the Cottagers visit Stamford Bridge hoping to repeat history after ending a 45-year winless drought at the venue last season.
Marco Silva's men earned a 2-1 victory at the Bridge on Boxing Day 2024, marking Fulham's first win at the ground since 1979 in the process. But the west London monolith has since rebuilt itself anew and is looking more like its old self of late.
The only drawback for Enzo Maresca is that his side's only home game of the campaign thus far ended in a 0-0 draw against another London rival, Crystal Palace. The Blues have since responded with a 5-1 thrashing at West Ham in Week 2, though that result appears difficult to judge given the Hammers' struggles this term.
Fulham, on the other hand, fought from behind to draw against Manchester United last time out and is also yet to taste defeat after two games. The Cottagers have managed to avoid defeat in two of their last three trips to Stamford Bridge, but will get a real sense of their current prospects in Saturday's early start.
