Green Bay Packers Catch Strays From Salty Chicago Bears Fans During Oasis’ Soldier Field Concert

The Green Bay Packers are clear winners in the NFL this week. After all, they came away with a hugeacquisition of star linebacker Micah Parsons via a trade with the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday.

Parsons turns the Packers’ defense into a much terrifying bunch and bolsters Green Bay’s belief that it can go all the way and win the Super Bowl in the upcoming season.

But while Green Bay and its fans have every reason to celebrate even before the start of the 2025 NFL season, Packers rivals must be feeling wary of the team’s new-look stop unit. The Chicago Bears, for one, have to deal with the reality that Parsons isnow in the NFC North— just after they let Caleb Williams be the most-sacked quarterback in 2024.

On Thursday, Oasis made their first stop in the United States leg of their incredibly successful reunion tour, with over 50,000 fans packing themselves inside Soldier Field in Chicago — home of the Bears.

Although the event was not a sporting spectacle, Bears fans inside the stadium somehow managed to find a way to troll Green Bay.

WroteChris Deville of Stereogum in his review of Oasis’ Chicago concert:

Shortly after one group broke out in the chorus of “Don’t Look Back In Anger,” sounding not unlike the supporters’ section at a Man City match, another mass of Chicagoans started chanting “Green Bay sucks!” (This was, perhaps, an instance of unbridled cope on a day when the Packers, who’ve had the hometown Bears’ number for years, improved their Super Bowl chances with a blockbuster trade.)

Perhaps Bears fans should just stop crying their hearts out.
