Liverpool found out their [2025/26 Champions League league phase opponents on Thursday](/liverpool-fc-news-coverage/75142/official-liverpool-champions-league-2025-26-group-draw-real-madrid-inter-milan-atletico), but UEFA released the full fixture list today. It was always going to be a difficult draw, especially after Alex Ferguson’s the Premier League’s scheduling computer ensured that 5 of the 8 matches would be immediately followed by an away match in the league.
What we ended up getting was a bit of a mixed bag, which is probably the best we could’ve hoped for. We begin and end the league phase at home in Anfield, with the matches—against Atletico Madrid (September 17th) and Qarabag (January 28th)—coming before home matches to Everton and Newcastle, respectively.
However, Liverpool’s second match—away to Galatasaray (September 30th)—comes sandwiched between difficult away trips to London, Crystal Place followed by Chelsea.
Hugo Ekitike will then make a return to Frankfurt after The Reds face Manchester United at home and before journeying to Brentford for the early Saturday kickoff.
Liverpool will give Trent Alexander-Arnold (possibly on the bench) after hosting Villa and before Manchester City away. Because we really needed Madrid and City in the same week again.
PSV Eindhoven are next, after Arne Slot hopefully (and finally) does the decent thing and beats Nottingham Forest at home, before traveling to West Ham on the weekend.
The Reds make the journey to Anfield South, Really South, to take on Inter Milan after an away to Leeds and before hosting Brigton.
And in the penultimate match, Liverpool head to Marseille between hosting Burnley and away to Bournemouth.
