Brighton and Hove Albion Jeremy Sarmiento is set to seal a loan move to Italian side Cremonese, with an agreement reached between the two sides.
That’s according to journalist Raffaele Amato, who reports that the winger is set to move to the Italian side on loan until the end of the season. The deal will also include an obligation to buy which is tied to Cremonese avoiding relegation.
In simpler terms, the obligation will only be activated if they are able to stay in Serie A this season. There is no information regarding the value of the obligation clause.
Amato reports that Sarmiento is now set to arrive in Italy tomorrow, presumably for medical tests before completing the deal.
It will be third straight loan deal away from Brighton for the 23-year-old, who spent 2023 with West Bromwich Albion and 2024 with Ipswich Town and then Burnley.
He does not appear to be in the Seagull’s long-term plans and is now set for a move to Cremonese, who have struck a season-long loan deal with Brighton for the winger that could become permanent next summer.
