Everton have been linked with West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek this summer.
David Moyes shared a good relationship with Soucek at West Ham, which has sparked the possibility of a reunion.
The Scotsman wants another midfielder as Abdoulaye Doucoure parted ways with Everton at the end of June.

Tomas Soucek likely to stay at West Ham
Moyes has a penchant for signing physical midfielders who are good in the air, as they offer a significant threat from set pieces.
This led to Everton tabling a bid for Soucek, but the Hammers turned it down as they want him to stay put at the London Stadium.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
The 30-year-old is a regular for West Ham, having played both their league games this season.
It remains to be seen what the London club value him at, as he still has two more years left to run on his deal.
No player made more appearances under Moyes during his time at the London Stadium than Soucek with 207
Only 10 players have ever featured under Moyes on more occasions
Soucek racked up 43 goal contributions during his time under Moyes at West Ham
With just days to go until the window shuts, there is a high likelihood of the Czech Republic international not leaving.
Renowned Hammers-related news outlet westhamfootball claim that there’s a 90 per cent chance Soucek stays in East London.
Via X, they wrote: “It is 90% certain that Tomas Soucek will remain a West Ham player come Tuesday morning.”
Everton should not pursue Tomas Soucek’s services
Soucek isn’t the kind of midfielder that Everton should be looking to sign in the late stages of the summer transfer window.
The West Ham star’s physicality and aerial prowess don’t really match up to Moyes’ move towards more possession-based football after he took the reins from Sean Dyche earlier this year.
Moyes needs his midfielders to be adept at ball retention and intricate passing. Soucek isn’t that.
A technically gifted option would better complement recent signings like Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, enhancing creativity and control.
Soucek’s limited technical ability could destabilise Everton’s midfield dynamism, especially with the transfer deadline looming at 7pm on Monday.
Funds from Dan Friedkin’s ownership should target a player fitting Moyes’ vision for Premier League competitiveness.
