Serie A giants AS Roma have reportedly submitted an offer to sign 19-year-old English youth international Tyrique George from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
According to an update by Sky Sports journalists Dharmesh Sheth and Adrian Kajumba, Tyrique George is the subject of interest from AS Roma. The Serie A giants are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker in the final days of the summer transfer window. So, the 19-year-old Chelsea attacking sensation is a target for the Giallorossi.
The Englishman is also a target for Crystal Palace and Fulham, with both the London clubs eager to add a wide attacker to their offensive units. However, they are behind AS Roma in the battle for George’s signature, with the Serie A club submitting an offer to Chelsea to secure his services.
Tyrique George and his short Chelsea career so far
Tyrique George is the latest highly-rated prospect to rise in prominence after graduating from the fabled youth division at Chelsea. The 19-year-old enjoyed his breakthrough at the West London club in the 2023/24 season, and he has made 26 appearances thus far for the Blues while chipping in with three goals and five assists.
However, Chelsea’s aggressive spending in the summer transfer window means George has no chance of being a regular for the West London club in the 2025/26 season. The situation has piqued the attention of several well-known clubs, with AS Roma competing with Crystal Palace and Fulham for the English attacking prospect’s signature.
