Everton are looking to offload players ahead of deadline day, and Youssef Chermiti looks to be on his way out.
With Thierno Barry and Beto taking centre-stage in Everton’s forward line, it looks as though there is no room in the inn for Chermiti.
The young Portuguese striker has struggled to adapt to the English game, but has ultimately not been given enough time on the pitch.
Fans have been baffled by Chermiti’s game time, as the 21-year-old still looks like a promising forward.
A deal away looks to be concluding as Rangers want Chermiti on loan, but a bold decision has now been made.

Everton striker Youssef Chermiti set to join Rangers permanently instead of loan deal
Since signing for Sporting Lisbon in 2023 for £15 million, opportunities have been very sparse for the striker.
A loan would do him the world of good and help with his development so he can contribute to Everton’s future, but now it looks like there is no future with the club.
STV Sport journalist Raman Bhardwaj has covered the structure of the deal and claims that Chermiti joining Rangers would be a ‘permanent transfer’ and not the original loan stated.

It’s unknown what the fee is yet, but after just 24 appearances and two starts, it’s going to be difficult to recoup the fee paid for him.
Chermiti was meant to have minutes at Everton, but now he’s got the chance to prove his promise elsewhere, and the Toffees might regret it.
Everton could really regret permanent Youssef Chermiti sale
It’s harsh to say that the 21-year-old has been a failure considering his limited game time, and a loan would have been the perfect solution.
But a permanent sale is a risky play, as the striker was signed for £15 million for a reason, and has shown signs in his limited action on the pitch.
Adding to this, Luis Figo is a big fan of Chermiti, as back in Lisbon, he caught the attention as a very exciting talent.
Rafael Leao called Chermiti his ‘twin’, and if he reaches similar heights to the AC Milan star, questions will be asked of the Everton hierarchy.
