Mohamed Salah believes there is one man at Manchester City who could play a key part in the Citizens winning the 2025/26 Premier League title.
The current campaign is shaping up to be one of the best in the competition’s history, as there are three genuine contenders in the hunt for the title with Liverpool, Man City, and Arsenal all strengthening significantly over the summer.
City’s board are believed to be worried about the signings Arsenal have made over the last few weeks, which will not have been helped by the Gunners’ perfect start to the season.
Mohamed Salah has now shared his thoughts on the title picture, and the Liverpool superstar believes there is a clear favourite.

Mohamed Salah believes Arsenal will win the Premier League
Liverpool have been predicted by most to win the Premier League this season as Arne Slot’s team are the defending champions and have made some incredible additions to their squad over the summer, with the Reds beating Man City to the likes of Florian Wirtz.
It is hard to find someone backing against the Merseyside club, although Ashley Cole thinks Man City will regain their crown.

Liverpool’s Salah thinks the title will be heading to Arsenal in May, but the superstar is expected to say this, as it takes the pressure off his team.
“I said that a few times, today and also at the PFA awards. They [Arsenal] are the favourites, because they have a team that plays together for five, six years, so they understand each other’s game, and they have a manager also with the team for five, six years,” Salah told Sky Sports.
“So when a team is stuck together for that long, they know each other’s game, so it becomes easier for them.

“But other teams, like us [Liverpool] and City changing a lot of players, which is sometimes tricky. But again, like a team with Pep Guardiola, they are always a favourite, but of course, my opinion this year is Arsenal number one.”
Guardiola seems reenergised after the summer break, and if Man City can somehow win the Premier League, the legendary coach will certainly have had a huge role to play.
However, many seem to be doubting the Spaniard at present, which might provide the 54-year-old with even more fuel to prove people wrong.

Liverpool are the real favourites for the Premier League title
Despite what Salah has said, Liverpool are the favourites for the Premier League title, and the start of the season has done very little to harm this, as the Reds have won both of their matches despite having issues and not playing well.
As the campaign develops, the Reds’ stars will gain a better understanding of how to play with each other, and there is also the potential of Alexander Isak to join an already very strong group of Liverpool players.
That argument can also be applied to Man City in a way, as it will also take time for the new signings to get a proper understanding of what Guardiola wants from them, with James Trafford’s error against Tottenham being the perfect example.
There is an argument to be made for all three contenders, and it is hard to say who will win the Premier League this early in the season. But when it comes to the favourites tag, that belongs to Liverpool.
