Sheffield United have been busy in the transfer market as we near the deadline on September 1 at 7pm.
Ruben Selles has had a terrible start to life in charge of Sheffield United, as he lost his opening three games in the Championship.
There was an identification that they needed to strengthen their defence, and so the Blades went out and brought in Ben Godfrey and Japhet Tanganga, who was previously at Millwall.

It has also been mentioned by those who have watched Sheffield United this season that they have lacked defensive-minded midfielders in the heart of their side; however, it appears that they have now addressed this with their latest signing.
Sheffield United set to sign Alex Matos from Chelsea
It has been reported by Pete O’Rourke on social media that Alex Matos is set to join the Blades from Chelsea on a permanent deal this summer.
There is a belief that Matos is set to complete his medical this afternoon as Middlesbrough and Sheffield United square off at the Riverside.
This signing is much needed for Sheffield United, as they have missed a player like him in midfield.
Matos only ever made one league appearance for Chelsea during his career there, but Sheffield United fans can look at his impressive spell on loan at Oxford United last season as a positive sign of how much of an impact he could have at Bramall Lane.
Gary Rowett was a huge fan of Alex Matos
Gary Rowett brought Alex Matos in on loan to Oxford United from Chelsea last season, and the versatile midfielder had a significant impact on the team remaining in the Championship.
There were plenty of rumours linking Oxford to Matos for this season, but nothing ever materialised, and he will now join Sheffield United.

As reported by the Football League Paper, Rowett spoke highly about Matos after he impressed the experienced coach during a loan spell at Huddersfield Town.
He said: “Alex has a great pedigree as a player, and I was impressed with what he showed last season at Huddersfield.”
