Confirmed Man United XI vs Burnley: Mainoo & Dorgu on bench, Bayindir trusted over Onana again

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed the starting line-up for the Premier League clash with Burnley at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are still searching for their maiden victory of the campaign after losing to Arsenal and drawing to Fulham in the league.

They also endured a humiliating Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Grimsby Town on Wednesday night.

Amorim has opted for just one change from the side that drew 1-1 with Fulham last weekend.

Burnley will be eager to test the Turkish international, especially from set-pieces where he has looked vulnerable.

Leny Yoro and Luke Shaw were rested for the midweek clash and their return to the XI is no surprise.

Matthijs de Ligt keeps his position at the heart of defence, despite Harry Maguire’s goal-scoring display against Grimsby.

Diogo Dalot is the only new face, slotting into the left wing-back role in place of Patrick Dorgu.

Dorgu has shown improvement lately but has not been accurate with his crosses.

Amad Diallo looked lost at the right wing-back in the last two games but the manager has still backed him to start today against the Clarets.

Amorim has made a big decision in the midfield, starting Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes.

Kobbie Mainoo has asked to leave on loan, and many expected Amorim to start him today as a show of faith but the teenager remains on the bench.

Mason Mount and Bryan Mbeumo are expected to take the number 10 spots with Matheus Cunha leading the line.

Both Mbeumo and Cunha missed penalties in midweek and will be desperate to redeem themselves tonight.

Confirmed Man Utd line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Burnley: Bayindir; Yoro, De Ligt, Shaw; Dalot, Casemiro, Fernandes, Dorgu; Mount, Mbeumo; Cunha.
