West Ham are weighing up whether to make a manager change after just two weeks of the season.
Graham Potter is under huge pressure at West Ham, with the Hammers losing all three of their opening fixtures.
West Ham lost 3-2 to Wolves and were knocked out of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, in the latest blow that followed losses against Sunderland and Chelsea in the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho has emerged as a candidate for West Ham after the former Spurs and Chelsea boss was sacked by Fenerbahce.
Ray Parlour has defended Potter, however, insisting that decision-makers at the London Stadium should not rush into a decision this season.

Paul Merson points to real reason for West Ham panic
Despite Potter’s uncertain future, the Hammers have pushed ahead in their aims to strengthen the squad ahead of transfer deadline day.
West Ham completed the signing of Mateus Fernandes on Friday, with the midfielder joined by Soungoutou Magassa, who has joined from AS Monaco.
Guido Rodriguez is expected to leave West Ham in the coming days, with Potter looking to add energy to a midfield that had looked sluggish in the season openers.
But it could be another manager who benefits from the impact of the new arrivals, with the former Chelsea boss needing results quickly to stave off questions over his position.
West Ham 2025/26 – Results
Sunderland 3-0 West Ham
West Ham 1-5 Chelsea
Wolves 3-2 West Ham
Speaking live on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday (30 August, 12:32), former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson claimed that West Ham could be panicking over the possibility of relegation.
“He’s (Potter) under big pressure as well, so early, this is the Premier League,” said Merson.
“This is the problem, it’s the Premier League and especially with the three that came up having all won a game now.
“Last season, it took so long, so for now that’s what is putting more and more panic because I think a lot of these clubs thought ‘you know what, the three that have come up will go straight back down’, and I think that’s opened a couple of eyes.”
West Ham must give Graham Potter time with new signings
Potter wanted to refresh his midfield this summer, and he has got his wish with the arrivals of Magassa and Fernandes.
It is now up to West Ham to give him time to work with his new signings, but there will be very little place for excuses after they do.
Should Potter be unable to produce results, even with his transfer demands met, decision-makers at the London Stadium will be forced into taking action.
