Bayern Munich are working on a couple of deals before the deadline day. They found a breakthrough in talks with Chelsea on Saturday morning for Nicolas Jackson. The Senegalese is on his way to Munich to complete a season-long loan move to Bayern, which also has an option to buy.
The Bavarian club is also looking to add another winger to the squad in the next couple of days. Similarly, there will be a considerable amount of interest in Bayern players during the last two days of the summer transfer window.
Kim Min-jae is attracting interest from Serie A. According to transfer journalist Matteo Moretto (via iMiaSanMia), AC Milan sporting director Igli Tare is a big fan of the South Korean defender. The Serie A side had contacted Bayern to explore a transfer, but the Bavarian club has rebuffed their enquiry.
The former Napoli defender is expected to stay at Bayern beyond the current transfer window. There has been intense speculation around his future this summer. Al-Nassr and Paris Saint-Germain had shown concrete interest in the defender, but Bayern never received an offer for him. Juventus were also briefly linked with the 28-year-old defender at the end of last season.
The defending Bundesliga champions have been open to selling Kim Min-jae this summer due to his inconsistent performances since arriving from Napoli in 2023. The South Korean defender was also contemplating a move away from Bayern, but all parties have made the decision to continue together for one more season.
No big departures at Bayern Munich before deadline day
Bayern have significantly trimmed their squad this summer. They have lost a lot of experience in Thomas Müller, Leroy Sane, and Kingsley Coman. Paul Wanner also decided to seal a permanent move to PSV Eindhoven, while Joao Palhinha joined Tottenham Hotspur on a loan deal. They have no plans for further departures in the final two days of the transfer window.
Vincent Kompany will be pleased to have Nicolas Jackson as another option in the attack, as they needed more options on the bench to compete across all competitions. The Bavarian club will try to get another winger. Even if they don’t, it looks like Lennart Karl will get an ample number of opportunities. The youngster is ready to play for the first team. His quality and skillset were on full display in the 3-2 win against Wehen Wiesbaden on Wednesday in the DFB Pokal.
