[Manchester United](https://reddevilarmada.com/) fans have hit out at Ruben Amorim for the XI he has named to take on Burnley in today's Premier League clash. His side are coming off the back of a demoralising exit from the Carabao Cup at the hands of League Two outfit Grimsby Town.
Amorim is feeling the heat after a season-opening 1-0 loss to Arsenal was followed by a 1-1 draw away to Fulham. He had received the support of fans throughout his tenure but the Grimsby defeat has seen some supporters make clear they want change.
The Portuguese coach isn't helping himself and this stems from team selections. He's gone with the same team that lost to the Gunners for the encounter with Burnley at Old Trafford.
### Man United slam Amorim's "stubbornness" after seeing XI to face Burnley
Amorim has gone with Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Luke Shaw in defence while Altay Bayindir returns in goal after Andre Onana's horrific showing against Grimsby.
Amad starts at right wing-back while Diogo Dalot who was just as poor as Onana midweek is used as a makeshift left wing-back. There is no place for the wantaway Kobbie Mainoo in midfield as Casemiro partners Bruno Fernandes.
Benjamin Sesko drops down to the bench with Mason Mount starting alongside Bryan Mbeumo behind Matheus Cunha in attack.

It's a team selection that has fans scratching their heads given Amorim has stuck with players who have let him down. One fan wrote on X:
_**"This lineup SUCKS man how has this man already killed my excitement for this season"**_
Another added:
_**"Diogo Dalot is our LWB? So Dorgu benched because he wasn’t good enough against Grimsby but Dalot was good enough to start out of his position?**_
_**Yeah, Amorim is not helping himself one bit with this Portuguese favouritism.**_

Another fan pointed out the lack of game time for Joshua Zirkzee:
_**"Forgot about Sesko a second, I don’t get why Amorim doesn’t just start Zirkzee upfront. He looked fresh and sharp against Grimsby.**_
_**I HATE us lining up without a striker. We’re under pressure instantly."**_
One supporter is confused about Sesko being dropped:
_**"Surely you would want your £75m striker to get plenty of minutes/experience in these games before you have to play City and Chelsea??"**_
While another called out Amorim:
_**"Another strange lineup from Amorim. Dalot in for Dorgu and once again no natural striker. Let’s see where his stubbornness takes him this time."**_
United need a win before the international break if they are to take some of the pressure off Amorim. They also need to put in a good performance after being outplayed by fourth-tier Grimsby.
