The latest Man Utd transfer news with a summer sale set to be announced over the weekend.
Rasmus Hojlund will fly to Italy on Saturday to undergo a medical examination ahead of his proposed summer transfer to Napoli. Manchester United have agreed a financial package that will see Hojlund depart the club on an initial season-long loan, with an obligation to make it permanent if the Serie A side qualifies for the Champions League this season.
It is understood United are guaranteed to receive an initial €6 million (£5.19m) loan fee for Hojlund, while United will receive a fixed fee of €44m (£38.07m) if they qualify for the Champions League. It means the total transfer package could be worth €50m (£43.26m).
Hojlund was left out of the United squad again for the Premier League clash against Burnley on Saturday afternoon and will instead fly to Rome, where he will undergo his medical test. If everything goes according to plan, Hojlund will be announced as a Napoli player on Sunday.

Napoli face Cagliari in Serie A on Saturday night and it is unclear whether the Danish striker will be in attendance to watch his new side ahead of his move. Alejandro Garnacho watched Chelsea take on Fulham at Saturday lunchtime before his move to Stamford Bridge was made official.
Taking to social media on Saturday afternoon, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the plans for Hojlund to travel to Italy and sign for Napoli this weekend. “Rasmus Højlund will fly to Roma today for medical as new Napoli player on Sunday morning,” he posted on X.
Earlier in the day, Romano all but confirmed the transfer deal when he gave it his ‘here we go’ seal of approval to suggest an official announcement was imminent. He wrote on X: “Rasmus Højlund to Napoli, here we go! Verbal agreement done between all parties involved. Loan deal for €6m fee with buy option clause to become mandatory under certain conditions worth €44m. Højlund said yes to Napoli days ago, set for medical in next 24h.”
United have already signed Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig to be their new striker this season, while Ruben Amorim has also given preference to using a false nine rather than Hojlund in matches when the summer signing hasn't been fit enough to start. United are focused on player sales before transfer deadline day, with the Denmark international one of their most attractive assets.
Hojlund has scored 26 goals and registered six assists in 95 appearances since he joined United from Atalanta two years ago. He only managed 10 goals across all competitions last season, with just four of those in the Premier League.
