There was a unique atmosphere inside Stamford Bridge as Chelsea took the bragging rights in the West London derby against Fulham.
The Blues won 2-0 thanks to goals from Joao Pedro and Enzo Fernandez, however could have fallen behind when Josh King’s strike was controversially overturned by VAR.
Marco Silva was fuming at the refereeing, and this feeling was echoed by the travelling fanbase in West London who saw their side soundly beaten in the end.
Even in the Chelsea ranks though, things were not all positive. As was the case against Crystal Palace, the Blues really struggled to get things going, especially after Liam Delap was forced off due to injury.
This frustration could be let out in celebration though when Fernandez’s corner was given the nod of approval by Pedro on the stroke of half-time, vastly changing Enzo Maresca’s half-time team talk.

Enzo Fernandez rages at Chelsea fans after opening goal vs Fulham
The Argentine was seemingly more angry than most at what had been going on. Journalist Kieran Gill shared a video of Fernandez having a disagreement with one of the Chelsea coaching staff after yelling at supporters after they had gone 1-0 up.
He said: “Enzo Fernandez’s reaction at the half-time whistle was to run to Chelsea fitness coach Marcos Alvarez as he appeared to offer him his captain’s armband.
“Fernandez wasn’t happy after Chelsea’s goal, yelling at fans & bench. Andrey Santos had been sent to warm-up before half-time.”

Fernandez and Chelsea coach meet again at full-time
After what looked a tense situation at the break, Chelsea fans will have been delighted to see it hadn’t carried on to the conclusion of the second half.
Gill shared that after the game had come to an end, the pair had embraced and all seemed to be forgotten from the half-time spectacle.
He said: “Big hug between Enzo Fernandez and Marcos Alvarez after full-time. All forgiven and forgotten. Moises Caicedo also seemed to suggest to the Chelsea fitness coach that he was feeling fine after his late injury scare.”
It will have been all smiles despite the up and down performance from the Blues, as they temporarily went back to the top of the Premier League.
