Aston Villa have initiated discussions over a seven-figure deal for Aberdeen's young talent, Fletcher Boyd.
Villa are keen to secure the Scotland under-19 cap. Negotiations are currently underway regarding the final fee, reports the Daily Record.
Aberdeen stand to gain a substantial deal with numerous significant add-ons for their academy graduate, provided an agreement can be reached before Monday's deadline.
The 17 year old made a striking entrance into Aberdeen's first team, scoring in his initial two senior games against Livingston and Hibs two seasons ago.
However, he only made a few league appearances and a handful more in the cup for the Dons last season.
The young player has already made three appearances for Aberdeen in this campaign.
Villa already boast young Scottish talents like Roy Wilson, Kerr Smith and Aidan Borland in their ranks, while John McGinn remains one of their top players.
The Dons, who recently announced the signing of Mitchel Frame on a four-year deal from Celtic, are also set to sell Shayden Morris to Luton Town for another fee, which is close to £1 million with add-ons.
Aberdeen are still on the hunt to add an attacking midfielder and a striker before the transfer window closes.
