Chelsea have pulled the plug on Nicolas Jackson's loan move to Bayern Munich after Liam Delap suffered an injury against Fulham.
David Ornstein of The Athletic reports that the Blues have informed Bayern that "they will not be proceeding with proposed loan". The Senegalese had flown to Munich early Saturday to complete the switch to the Allianz Arena.
Delap is set to be sidelined for up to eight weeks due to a hamstring injury suffered in a 2-0 home victory against Fulham. This came just hours after news broke of Jackson heading to the reigning Bundesliga champions and his loan has now been cancelled.

Chelsea had agreed a deal with Bayern to allow Jackson to join Vincent Kompany's Bavarians temporarily for a £13m loan fee, per Fabrizio Romano. This would have included the option of a permanent £69m switch at the end of the season.
The 24-year-old fell down Enzo Maresca's pecking order following the arrivals of Delap and Joao Pedro during this summer's transfer window. He was pictured travelling to Germany for his medical ahead of the proposed loan but will instead be returning to the English capital.
Maresca confirmed Delap's injury was a serious one after the victory against Fulham at Stamford Bridge. The English striker, who joined from Ipswich Town in a £30m deal, pulled up with a hamstring problem in the first half.
Delap was handed a start against the Cottagers alongside fellow new signing Pedro but his withdrawal saw the Blues turn to teenage winger Tyrique George in a forward role. The 19-year-old, linked with a move away, performed well but isn't a suitable replacement.
Pedro would have been Maresca's only number nine option with Delay out injured and this has led to the cancellation of Jackson's loan. The Senegal international was a regular starter last season, managing 10 goals in 30 league games.
