Chelsea have reportedly called off the deal to loan Nicolas Jackson to Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.
The two clubs had agreed on a season-long loan for the striker, which included an option to buy at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
Bayern were set to pay a £13 million loan fee up front, plus an additional £56.2 million to make the move permanent next summer. A sell-on clause had also been included in the arrangement.
Chelsea would have received £69 million in total for the Senegal international, but now the deal will not go ahead after Liam Delap suffered an injury.
According to The Athletic, the Premier League outfit have “informed” Bayern of their change in heart and asked Jackson to return to London.
The decision comes after Delap was forced off the pitch in the first half of their 2-0 win over Fulham at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Enzo Maresca confirmed after the full-time whistle that the former Ipswich Town striker will miss up to two months of action while he recovers.
