Manchester United were back in Premier League action on Saturday against Burnley and are finally in the win column.
After the mid-week embarrassment against Grimsby, Manchester United needed to respond.
Ruben Amorim’s side started really well, taking the lead 27 minutes into the game by way of another own goal.
Burnley equalised in the second half, but unlike last week against Fulham, United responded as Bryan Mbeumo scored his second for the club to make it 2-1.
Then, a disaster from Altay Bayindir saw the Clarets equalise.
United then pushed for a goal, and in the 92nd minute, Amad won a penalty. Bruno Fernandes stepped up and converted to win the game.

Manchester United player ratings vs Burnley
Altay Bayindir – 4
Another week, another Bayindir horror show in goal for Burnley’s second. United needs a goalkeeper.
Leny Yoro – 6
Had little to combat, but never looked at risk or even like he was out of second gear, less responsible than his teammates for the goal conceded.

Matthijs de Ligt – 5
Another decent display in the middle from De Ligt, and similar to Yoro, had virtually nothing to do until he was absent in the middle for Burnley to score.
Luke Shaw – 5
Fairly good game, but ultimately nowhere to be seen when needed as Burnley scored.
Amad – 7
Back at his menacing best on the right, he also took up central positions at times, which suited him. Missed a couple of big chances, but won a penalty late on which
Casemiro – 6
Made a few vital defensive contributions, but there needs to be an upgrade before the deadline.
Bruno Fernandes – 8
Was the busiest player on the pitch and looked at home in midfield. Created plenty of chances and deserved more from his teammates. Scored the winning goal, which might have saved Amorim.
Diogo Dalot – 8
Helped United look a lot stronger defensively and might have just made the left side his own, impressive in a position that is new for him this season. Good assist for Mbeumo’s goal.
Bryan Mbeumo – 8
Created some huge opportunities for his teammates in the first half and scored in the second. Best performance in a United shirt from Mbeumo.
Mason Mount – 7
As usual, looked excellent for United, created chances, and contributed defensively. Unfortunately taken off at half-time due to injury.
Matheus Cunha – 6
Cunha only played 30 minutes before being withdrawn due to injury, but in that time, he showed some really encouraging signs once again. Hopefully, his injury is nothing serious.
Joshua Zirkzee – 6
Off the bench in the 30th minute and looked up to speed immediately, linking up the attack well. Should have scored a good chance created by Mbeumo.
Kobbie Mainoo – 6
Another solid performance from Mainoo, Amorim will have enjoyed his big recovery tackle in particular.
Benjamin Sesko – 6
Showed good movement in the box to earn a few chances will feel his goal is coming.
