Liverpool have submitted a formal offer to sign Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi, according to Football Insider.
The Anfield side are aiming to secure the 25-year-old centre-back ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline and have reportedly made their move for Guehi’s arrival.
Liverpool are said to have offered a package worth £40m – including an initial fee of £36m plus £4m in add-ons – which matches Palace’s demands for the England international.
Guehi is believed to have already given Liverpool the green light over the move and could soon become their latest signing of a busy transfer window, in which the reigning Premier League champions have already spent around £300m.
Liverpool are also aiming to bring in Newcastle forward Alexander Isak in the final days of the summer transfer window and are expected to propose another bid after seeing their initial £110m offer rejected.

Guehi has been on Liverpool’s transfer shortlist for several months, with the Anfield side viewing the 25-year-old defender as a potential replacement for Ibrahima Konate.
The France centre-back has less than a year left on his contract and, while Liverpool remain determined to extend it, the lack of a breakthrough in talks is forcing them to explore potential alternatives.
Guehi has blossomed into one of the Premier League’s best central defenders since joining Palace in 2021 from Chelsea, where he registered just two senior appearances.
He helped the Eagles lift the FA Cup last season – the club’s first major trophy in history – and also captained the side in their Community Shield triumph over Liverpool earlier this month.
Guehi has been heavily linked with a Palace exit in the past two transfer windows, with both Newcastle and Tottenham targeting the Eagles skipper.
Newcastle saw several bids turned down for the 25-year-old last summer, with Palace chairman Steve Parish stressing that it would take 'superstar money' to land a ‘superstar’ player.
Liverpool have invested heavily in defensive reinforcements this summer, with Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Giovanni Leoni all joining.
