Bayern Munich may have suffered a massive blow in their attempt to sign Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson on loan.
Earlier today, we exclusively reported that the German champions have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign the 24-year-old on loan for the 2025-26 season.
However, in a bizarre twist of events, the deal could be cancelled, despite Jackson having landed in Germany for his medical treatment.

Chelsea won 2-0 against Fulham in their Premier League clash on Saturday, but Liam Delap was forced off in the first half due to injury.
The 22-year-old had to be withdrawn inside the opening 15 minutes after he picked up a hamstring injury, and this has altered Chelsea’s transfer plans.
According to a report from The Athletic, the Blues have informed Bayern that they will not be proceeding with the loan move for Nicolas Jackson.
Chelsea have asked him to return to London immediately, and the situation is complicated at the moment.
Jackson has already arrived in Germany for his medical, and the player’s camp has reportedly refused Chelsea’s order to return to London.
Christian Falk informed CFBayern that the Senegal striker will complete his medical today, but Bayern can do nothing here as Chelsea hold all the aces.
Bizarre transfer situation involcing Nicolas Jackson
Bayern agreed to pay €15m fee to sign Jackson and wanted to cover his entire salary for the season. The deal also included the option to buy him permanently next summer.
Chelsea would have received a total package worth €80m (£69.2m) for the player they paid €37m (£32m) for in 2023, should Bayern sign him permanently.
It was thought that Jackson would drop down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge. He has left out of matchday squads so far, and it became clear that he is not in Enzo Maresca’s plans.
However, the injury to Delap has changed the situation. One cannot help but wonder why Chelsea wanted to do such a business in the first place without a proper back-up plan.
