Ruben Amorim crossed paths with only one Man Utd star before heading down tunnel, ace’s immediate reaction was perfect

One Manchester United player showed how much Ruben Amorim means to the Premier League club during a wholesome exchange after the Burnley match.

Manchester United managed to defeat Burnley 3-2 at Old Trafford in their final Premier League match before the start of the September international break.

Ruben Amorim walked away with his first win of the season after United suffered a 1-0 loss to Arsenal at Old Trafford and played out a 1-1 away draw against Fulham.

The United manager had also been under major pressure ahead of the Burnley result after the shock exit from the Carabao Cup at the hands of Grimsby Town.

United were dominant against Premier League side Burnley on Saturday afternoon, but the Red Devils had to fight hard to secure all three points at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils earned a penalty deep into second-half stoppage time at Old Trafford and Bruno Fernandes stepped up and superbly converted the winner for United.

Joshua Zirkzee’s reaction to Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim after the 3-2 Premier League result vs Burnley

Manchester United have now climbed to ninth place – at the time of writing – in the Premier League table after Saturday’s 3-2 result against Burnley at Old Trafford.

Ruben Amorim had needed his Red Devils players to respond with a win after Grimsby Town’s stunning upset over United at Blundell Park in the midweek.

The Daily Mail reporter Chris Wheeler took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and shared footage of what Amorim did after the match.

According to Chris Wheeler, the United manager ‘shook hands’ with Scott Parker before he walked onto the Old Trafford pitch and crossed paths with Joshua Zirkzee.

Amorim stuck his hand out to the United striker while appearing to head towards the tunnel, only for Joshua Zirkzee to pull the Portuguese coach in for a huge hug.

The 40-year-old Red Devils manager could then be seen heading towards the Old Trafford tunnel before slipping out of the sight of the United fans.

Speaking after the Burnley result, Amorim said that United wasted their chances against Scott Parker’s men and could have done a lot more in their display.

The United manager made his feelings clear by admitting that the outcome played out the way it did and the Red Devils deserved all three Premier League points.

“I was frustrated like any Man Utd fan, we had chances to score more goals, create more chances,” he told BBC’s Match of the Day, as per BBC Sport.

“Today, the football was fair – we were the better team.

“Some moments are really decisive. Sometimes we were not playing so well, but you can see the effort of everyone on the pitch wanting to win.”

United are back in action on 14th September for their huge showdown with Manchester City at the Etihad after the end of the upcoming international break.
