Liverpool have got plans to add Alexander Isak to their squad before the current transfer window ends.
Sporting director Richard Hughes saw a British record attempt to land the forward rejected by Newcastle earlier this summer.

The Reds bid around £110m for the 25-year-old but Newcastle dismissed that effort out of hand. Liverpool haven’t been back since - carefully biding their time before striking again for the Swede.

It’s understood Newcastle need TWO strikers in before they will agree to sell Isak.
Rodrygo highly unlikely to join Liverpool
But according to a new report from Pete O’Rourke in the Football Insider, do not expect Liverpool to move for Rodrygo in this late stage of the window.
“The Rodrygo deal looks very difficult to do,” he said.
“He was back in the Madrid starting lineup against Oviedo and I think the player, he’s happy at Madrid as long as he’s getting minutes.
“And Madrid, if they were to sell him, they’ll be looking at huge fee for a signature as well.
“So, so late in the window, I would say it’s highly unlikely that Liverpool would push to get a deal over the line for Rodrygo. It’s not happening this window.”
