Nicolas Jackson advisor sends message after Chelsea transfer U-turn

An advisor to Chelsea star Nicolas Jackson has sent a clear message after his loan to Bayern Munich was called off at the eleventh hour.

Following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, Jackson was made available for transfer with plenty of Premier League interest emerging. German champions Bayern appeared to win the race for his signature with a temporary switch for the 2025/26 season agreed earlier this week.

With Cole Palmer ruled out through injury, Chelsea would have wanted to desperately avoid other key players picking up issues but that was unfortunately exactly the scenario that played out early into their 2-0 win over Fulham.

After making a run beyond the defence, Delap pulled up clutching his hamstring and was swiftly replaced by Tyrique George. Maresca's update was also far from optimistic with the Chelsea boss providing a rough return timeline.

"Liam's injury doesn't look good in terms of, he was full speed, hamstring, so that required, like always, weeks," he admitted in his post-match press conference.

Following his injury, the immediate future of Jackson was under question but that it very quickly clarified. Likely just after touching down in Germany, Chelsea informed Bayern that they would not be proceeding with the loan, as football.london understands.

Bayern have been left in quite a tricky position as such, with preparations likely in place for him to undergo a medical, but they no longer have permission from Chelsea to continue.

Jackson had flown into Munich on a private jet with a number of Epic Sports representatives including owner and super agent Ali Barat. His camp's feeling on the transfer debacle now look to have been made clear with former professional footballer Diomansy Kamara, who is now an advisor to Jackson, issuing a message on social media.

Via Instagram stories, he wrote: "Avion ne fait marche arriere... Munich [red heart emoji]" which translates to, "Airplane doesn't walk backward... Munich."

That is seemingly in reference to the journey made by Jackson and those close to him that now has to be reversed following Delap's injury and Chelsea's decision.

Alongside the expected return of Jackson to west London, the Blues have submitted a £34.6million (€40m) proposal to Barcelona for Fermin Lopez, as per transfer guru Fabrizio Romano. This comes after a deal was agreed for the loan addition of Facundo Buonanotte from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Confirmation of Alejandro Garnacho's £40million switch from Manchester United was also confirmed on Saturday evening. It has not been completely straightforward for Chelsea in recent days however, with Tottenham hijacking their expected move for RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons.
