To say Jack Grealish has rediscovered his form at Everton after leaving Manchester City would be an understatement.
Jack Grealish will always be part of Manchester City’s history thanks to his efforts in the glory days of 2021-24, but sadly his future lies elsewhere.
Grealish slipped down the pecking order last season and wasn’t even taken to the Club World Cup over the summer, signalling an end to his time at City.
However, the 29-year-old has done so well in his first few games at Everton that he has already broken a record for the Merseyside club.

Indeed, all four of those assists have come in just two Premier League starts for Everton.
Grealish set up both goals in the Toffees’ 2-0 win over Brighton last week and followed it up with two more assists in the 3-2 win at Wolves on Saturday.
The Man City loanee set up Beto for his seventh-minute opener before assisting Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for the goal that made it 3-1 to the visitors.
And according to OptaJoe, no prior Everton player had ever registered two or more assists in consecutive Premier League appearances for the club.
Erling Haaland loved what he saw from Grealish as he referred to him as “Jack De Bruyne”.

Manchester City caught between a rock and a hard place
On one hand, Grealish doing so well for Everton means there’s a better chance that they will take up the £50million option to sign him permanently.
On the other hand, seeing Grealish instantly become a game-changer for Everton suggests that Pep Guardiola wasn’t using him properly.
In addition, should Grealish maintain similar levels for most of the season, that £50million option to buy would be seen as an absolute steal for Everton.
