Chelsea fans have come up with their‘best option’instead of recalling Nicolas Jackson

It is hard not to feel sympathetic for Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson as a dramatic twist appears to have blocked his move to Bayern Munich.

Nicolas Jackson, 24, has had to be patient this summer while his future is resolved. In fact, the Chelsea striker hasn’t played since the Club World Cup.

Reports claimed that Chelsea and Bayern had agreed Jackson’s loan move, paying £13m for a one-year deal, and was expected to be completed. However, an injury to Blues striker Liam Delap on Saturday afternoon during the 2-0 Premier League victory against Fulham has led to a dramatic change of heart from Stamford Bridge officials.

Jackson is furious with Chelsea because he’s been told to come home. Apparently, he’s in Munich ahead of an imminent medical, but Bayern have now been told that the loan deal is off.

Chelsea fans suggest recalling Marc Guiu and allowing Nicolas Jackson to leave

According to plenty of Blues supporters on X, the club should stick to the initial plan of allowing Jackson to join Bayern. Their alternative to solve the striker issue is to bring Marc Guiu back from his season-long loan at Sunderland.

One fan wrote: “If he doesn’t want to come back leave him and recall Marc Guiu.”

“Shows you the cluelessness in relation to squad planning. Guiu should never have been sent on loan if they didn’t have a player who could adequately lead the line in the event of injury,” another posted.

One supporter claimed: “Can’t we recall Guiu? Literally third choice at Sunderland.”

“Recall Marc Guiu and leave Nicolas Jackson alone,” another said.

It’s a bit of a wild suggestion from the Chelsea fanbase, but it would be foolish to rule anything out during this crazy window. With the deadline at 7pm on Monday, it promises to be a fascinating final 48 hours.

Even though the Blues fans would opt against recalling Jackson back to the country and reintegrating him to the squad, it looks like that’s the plan to cope with Delap’s injury.

Marc Guiu has had a slow start at Sunderland

Chelsea striker Guiu, 19, joined Premier League rivals Sunderland on a season-long loan. It is worth noting that he’s yet to start a top-flight match, though.

In fairness, it feels premature to give up on Guiu’s loan spell already. Also, we’re not sure if they have the ability to rip up the deal and recall the young Spanish striker.

Chelsea boss Maresca does have high hopes for Guiu, but dragging him into this Jackson drama feels a bit over the top to us.
