Leeds United are entering the first international break with a respectable four points in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke faced heavy criticism this week, but watched Leeds draw 0-0 against Newcastle United at Elland Road on Saturday, looking solid.

Farke has made it no secret that Leeds want more attacking signings before the 1 September transfer deadline on Monday, and that has been doubled down.

Facundo Buonanotte’s expected move to Leeds collapsed in recent days, so attention will need to quickly shift to other targets.

Stuart Dallas may have just shared special insight on that hunt.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin made his Elland Road debut off the bench against the Magpies, and did look sharp, but other injuries have hit the squad hard.

Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka missed the draw and should return after the international break, meaning Farke should have his full-strength midfield available again.

All eyes are on the final third then, and Dallas has revealed what the transfer team are doing ahead of the deadline.

Speaking live on Sky Sports Main Event (30 August, 20:10), Dallas wasn’t shy to share what he has been told from behind the scenes at Elland Road.

“I know first-hand, the club are working tirelessly to get deals over the line,” he said.

How many signings could Leeds United make?

Leeds were tipped to only make one new signing before the deadline, but the “mad” two days that are to come could throw up some surprises.

The Whites had several summer signings on the pitch against Newcastle, but the likes of Jaka Bijol and Noah Okafor were still left on the bench.

With Calvert-Lewin and James Justin coming off the bench too, it is hard to picture who would be left out should more signings be made, but they are desperately needed.

Leeds look awful in the final third at this moment, and while staying strong at the back is critical too, more is needed going forward if they want to survive.
