'Agent close to Soucek': Insider told how likely an Everton move for West Ham's Tomas Soucek is

Everton are plotting a late swoop to sign West Ham United midfielder Tomas Soucek.

David Moyes is all too familiar with Soucek having brought him to England from the Czech Republic during his time in London.

Only a matter of hours remain in this summer’s transfer window, which has seen a lot of change at Everton.

With late opportunities being eyed, Everton News understands that Everton are keen to sign Soucek before the deadline on Monday.

Disagreements have been made behind the scenes at the London Stadium as to whether the midfielder should be sold.

Graham Potter has publicly backed Soucek to stay, with the Toffees keen to secure his services.

Now, with just hours remaining in the window, an agent close to the situation has shared how likely Soucek is to stay at West Ham.

Everton are looking to sign another midfielder, given they are ready to sanction the loan departure of Harrison Armstrong.

Speaking to The West Ham Way, club insider ‘Ex’ shared what he has been hearing recently about the midfielder’s future.

“An agent close to Tomas Soucek has said he is 90 per cent sure he will be a West Ham player after the deadline closure,” he said.

“It would take a substantial offer from Everton to get the deal done.”

Moyes is keen to add Premier League experience in midfield on the back of landing Jack Grealish to bolster the forward line.

A lot of work has been done on Merseyside this summer, but it is clear that there are still some areas to improve.

Everton also eyeing West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta

Following their dreadful start to the season, West Ham players are being targeted by a number of Premier League clubs.

Everton are monitoring Lucas Paqueta’s situation at the London Stadium. They are joined by Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa.

The Hammers have already shown this summer they are prepared to offload their big hitters, with Mohammed Kudus joining Spurs.

A move for Paqueta has been described as ‘unlikely’, but Moyes will surely still fancy his chances of attracting Soucek to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
