Manchester United were dealt a double injury blow on Saturday as they recorded their first win of the season.
After a slow start to the season, winless in the first three games, Manchester United beat Burnley 3-2 at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils hosted Scott Parker’s side and bounced back from an embarrassing defeat to Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup second round on Wednesday night. It was a timely victory as the Premier League breaks for the upcoming round of internationals.
United opened the scoring thanks to a Josh Cullen own goal in the 27th minute, while Bryan Mbeumo scored his first Premier League goal for the club in the second half.
The game went into stoppage time with the scoreline 2-2, before Amad Diallo was fouled inside the box and Bruno Fernandes secured the win from the penalty spot.

Ruben Amorim provides update on Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount
Although United recorded their first win of the season, leaving fans happy as they left Old Trafford, there were a few negatives to take from the game.
United made hard work of their win over Burnley, conceded two avoidable goals but also suffered two injury blows.
New signing Matheus Cunha pulled up during the first half, minutes after taking the lead. The Brazil international wasted no time gesturing over to the bench that he would need to come off before walking straight down the tunnel.

Meanwhile, Mason Mount was taken off at the break, with United’s head coach later revealing that he played with an injury.
Speaking in his post-match interview about Cunha and Mount, Amorim admitted he is concerned about the United duo.
“It was hard to lose Cunha and Mason Mount, because Mason Mount played 30 minutes with an injury,” Amorim told Sky Sports, as quoted by ManUtd.com.
“I’m concerned about that, because they are so important for us. We will see.”
Amorim was then asked how long he expected to be without both players.
“I don’t know [how they are], I don’t know. We will check them.
“We need those guys really bad to be really competitive.”
Cunha was replaced by Joshua Zirkzee, while Kobbie Mainoo came on at half-time for Mount amid speculation over the 20-year-old’s future at the club.
Cunha spotted leaving Old Trafford
The players left Old Trafford after full-time, with many fans outside to greet them.
One fan was quick enough to get a video of Cunha, and he appeared to be walking fine.
United fans will hope that it’s nothing serious because Cunha has shown glimpses of brilliance since the season started. It’s just a matter of requiring more games to fully settle in.
This news will likely see Cunha pull out of the Brazil squad.
