West Ham have been linked with moves for an Arsenal midfielder having just snapped up a Southampton star.
After a slow start to the transfer window and an even slower start to the Premier League, West Ham are one of the top flight clubs who could be busier on Deadline Day next week.
LondonWorld looks at the current transfer rumours to predict how West Ham could line up after the transfer window slams shut on Monday evening.
West Ham post Deadline Day XI if transfer rumours are true
GK: Mads Hermansen
West Ham paid £20 million to sign Mads Hermansen from Leicester City, having also been linked with a move for Aaron Ramsdale and Michael Cooper this summer. Potter and the Hammers opted for the ex Foxes man but he’s had a nightmare start in between the sticks.
As a result, it had been touted that West Ham could make a desperate move for Botafogo goalkeeper John Victor. However, it now appears that Nottingham Forest have hijacked those talks with the shot-stopper set to move to the City Ground.
Centre-Backs: Charlie Cresswell, Max Kilman, Soungoutou Magassa
Wing-Backs: Aaron Wan-Bissaka, El Hadji Malick Diouf
It’s been a calamity in defence so far this season. The signing of Magassa from Monaco in a £17 million deal has now been confirmed, which is a major boost for the London outfit. The France under-21 midfielder can play either in the centre of the park or in the heart of defence. He could be joined by another new face in Toulouse star Charlie Cresswell, the BBC carrying reports of interest in the former Leeds United man.
Nayef Aguerd, Jean-Clair Todibo and Max Kilman could now face a fight for their starting berths. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and El Hadji Malick Diouf look set to continue at wing back but Kyle Walker-Peters will fancy his chances of more minutes given recent results.

Midfielders: Mateus Fernandes, James Ward-Prowse, Fabio Vieira
Strikers: Jarrod Bowen, Franculino Dju
Potter has needed to beef up his options in centre midfield and that’s happened since the Chelsea defeat with Mateus Fernandes signing from Southampton for a hefty £42 million. The Standard claims that West Ham could also move for Arsenal star Fabio Vieira before Deadline Day. Tomas Soucek and Lucas Paqueta continue to be linked with a move away.
TEAMTalk suggest that the Hammers could also swoop in for FC Midtjylland forward Franculino Dju, who already has nine goals this season and could cost £11 million.
In other news, Crystal Palace handed injury boost which could kill £12m Wolves transfer move.
