'Impressive': Amorim blown away by 9/10 Man United ace after what he did vs Burnley

Manchester United edged Burnley with a dramatic late winner at Old Trafford, sealing three crucial Premier League points on Saturday night.

Bryan Mbeumo became the first player to score in the league for United this season.

Captain Bruno Fernandes stepped up to convert the decisive penalty in the 97th minute, sealing the win for United.

Speaking after the game, manager Ruben Amorim lauded United’s new signing Mbeumo for his superb display.

He said (via Beanyman Sports): “It was impressive, the way he stretched the team, the quality he has in the first touch.

“You can feel that we are a different team, because when we win the ball, we have one guy stretching the team.

“Last season we struggled a little bit with that.”

Mbeumo was the best player on the pitch

The 26-year-old had a fantastic game showcasing his deft touch, creativity and sharp movements.

His stunning display helped him earn 9/10 ratings in our post-match analysis.

Mbeumo made a clever run into the box when Diogo Dalot made a surging burst down the byline. He knew that Dalot would try to cut back his cross to find a Red shirt.

The former Brentford star then checked his run at just the right moment, peeling away from his marker before rifling the ball home to restore United’s lead seconds after they had been pegged back.

It was a crucial strike considering United could have faltered under the pressure of conceding after missing a host of chances in the first half.

Not only as a prolific finisher, but Mbeumo also impressed with his creativity.

He created five chances and had nine touches in Burnley’s box.

He should have earned an assist when he played Amad Diallo one-on-one with the goalkeeper but the Ivorian failed to hit the target.

The Red Devils have struggled to launch accurate crosses but Mbeumo seems to provide a solution in that department.

The Cameroonian delivered four successful crosses out of the five he attempted.

United fans will hope that Mbeumo continues to score goals and ease the attacking woes that have troubled the side for many years.
