Shilo Sanders is currently not on an NFL roster.
After being signed as an undrafted free agent by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Sanders played the preseason with the team. Unfortunately, he did not make the 53-man roster.
In the Buccaneers' preseason finale, Sanders made a big mistake. He threw a punch at Buffalo Bills tight end Zach Davidson. That led to him being ejected from the game.
Whether or not that fed into Tampa Bay's decision to release him or not is unknown. However, the NFL has now handed down its punishment to Sanders for his actions.

As shared by Bleacher Report, Sanders has been fined $4,669 for throwing the punch.
To this point, Sanders has not landed with a new team. There are some who don't think he will be able to land another NFL contract.
During his final two years in college with the Colorado Buffaloes, Sanders looked the part. In 2024, he racked up 67 total tackles to go along with a sack, a forced fumble, and two defended passes. Back in 2023, he totaled 67 tackles, four forced fumbles, an interception, a defensive touchdown, and three defended passes.
Following the news of his release, Deion Sanders spoke out with a message about his son.
"Shilo's a man of many talents... All of the Sanders are gonna be straight, with or without football," the older Sanders said.
He continued on, sharing more about how he has raised his sons.
"I'm proud of my kids, all of them. I prepared my kids for any and everything that can possibly happen in life and in sports," he said. "That's part of fathering, that's part of parenting, that's part of having a relationship."
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Sanders and his potential next NFL chapter. He may not receive a new contract, but there are some teams around the league who could use depth help at the safety position.
Expect to continue hearing about Shilo in the coming days and weeks. If he does happen to land another NFL contract, all eyes will be on him to see if he can stick around and make a career for himself.
