All the final injury news surrounding Arsenal and Liverpool as they prepare to face off at Anfield.

Arsenal take on Liverpool on Sunday in what will be an interesting clash between two likely Premier League title rivals. The Gunners want to supplant Liverpool as champions this season, and they have a chance to make an early statement at Anfield.

Ahead of the mouth-watering clash, we have rounded up the latest and confirmed injury news for both teams.

Jeremie Frimpong - Out

Frimpong will be out until around mid-September with a hamstring issue. Arne Slot has said: “The medical team was completely right about Jeremie to tell me that I had to take him off, because he is out until the end of the international break. So, a good call to take him off; otherwise, he would have maybe been out for longer.”

Alexis Mac Allister - Fit

Slot has said: “Mac Allister has also started training again so I don’t think we had any injuries coming out of that game [at Newcastle], no.”

Virgil van Dijk - Fit

Van Dijk is not a concern despite picking up a small knock last week. Slot simply said: “Virgil is also OK.”

Conor Bradley - Fit

Slot confirmed in his press conference: “I think the positive is that Conor Bradley only had one or two training sessions before the Newcastle game, he has trained this week the whole week – [well] not the whole week as there are still two days to go.”

Bukayo Saka - Out

Saka is going to be out until late September, with Arteta confirming: “Bukayo is doing better, but he will be out for a few weeks, unfortunately. No surgery, it's not as bad as the previous one. Very unfortunate to pick it up because it’s on the other side.”

Martin Odegaard - Doubt

Odegaard is a doubt, and given his lack of training this week, it does seem a long shot. Arteta has said: “We don't know yet. He hasn't trained yet, and if he does, it will be tomorrow. He's doing everything he can, we're doing everything that we can to make him available, but we'll have to wait and see tomorrow.”

Ben White - Doubt

White is another player who is battling to make it on time. Arteta has said: “Again, tomorrow we have another day, let's see how they evolve, and there’s a chance to keep them involved in the game.”

Kai Havertz - Out

Havertz is now going to be out until late November due to surgery on his knee issue. Arteta said before this game: “Obviously, we lose another big player for many, many weeks, but it was the right thing to do. The most important thing is - when he gets back - he is in good condition.”

Christian Norgaard - Doubt

Norgaard is a doubt for this one, but he has a chance. Arteta has said: “Again, tomorrow we have another day, let's see how they evolve, and there’s a chance to keep them involved in the game.”

Gabriel Jesus - Out

Jesus remains out long-term after suffering a ruptured ACL in January. Arteta has said: “Gabi is doing super well. I think he looks in a really good place, obviously it’s a massive injury and we need to come from that in a really strong way, but certainly he’s in the right place and with very strong strides I think.”
