The defensive vulnerabilities exposed during Liverpool’s trip to Newcastle last Monday may prompt the club’s hierarchy to strengthen at the back, with reports suggesting Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi is close to joining the Reds. Up front, Hugo Ekitike has been a standout performer, averaging a goal per game and leading the line impressively.
