Jakub Kiwior has left Arsenal.
The Polish international has joined Porto on loan, ahead of a permanent move next summer for a fee of £22.5 million, which means that the club are set to make a modest profit on him.
He was signed from Serie A side Spezia in January 2023, and made 68 appearances for the club, featuring either as a left-back or centre-half. He proved more than adequate cover when Gabriel was injured in the second half of last season, but with the Brazilian now fit again, Kiwior has decided to move on in search of regular first-team football.
Given the heavy outlay this summer, Arsenal were always going to have to make sales to balance the books, although his departure may help them complete another acquisition.
The club have identified Piero Hincapié of Bayer Leverkusen as a potential replacement for Kiwior, and the Ecuadorian international has indicated that he is keen on moving to the Emirates.

He follows most major leagues, across Europe at least, and has a favoured team in each. When he’s not watching, listening, reading or downloading podcasts about football, he spend his time worrying about his beloved Arsenal.
