Conflicting claims on Arsenal authorising private jet – Expectation player will arrive today for medical

FC Porto want to strengthen their defence with Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior before the window closes on Monday.

Two days ago, A Bola reported Porto president André Villas-Boas had closed a deal with Arsenal to sign him on loan within an obligation to buy. They stated the package consists of €2m loan fee, €17m purchase obligation and €5m in potential bonuses.

Over the past few days, a private jet has been booked for the centre-back to travel to Portugal. He hasn’t made the trip yet.

Sunday’s edition of O Jogo reports the Dragons expect to close this operation today.

The clubs have finalised the agreement, but the 25-year-old is waiting for Arsenal to give the green light for the trip. It’s claimed this will only happen once the Gunners sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapié.

A Bola on Sunday have a report on the Poland international and it contradicts O Jogo’s claim.

They say the north London club have given authorisation for the former Spezia man to travel to Portugal. The newspaper adds Kiwior is expected to arrive today for medical and to sign the contract with Porto.

Record report the defender has said goodbye to his Arsenal teammates ahead of his move to Porto.

They make no mention of Mikel Arteta’s side giving the green light to Kiwior but state he’s expected to arrive today to carry out formalities.
