Ranking the top 50 quarterbacks in NFL history…
9. Aaron Rodgers
Drafted 24th overall by the Green Bay Packers in 2005 out of the University of California, Rodgers spent three years backing up Brett Favre before becoming the starter in 2008. He swiftly proved his elite talent, leading the Packers to consistent success.
Rodgers won Super Bowl XLV MVP honors with 304 yards and three touchdowns in a 31-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He’s earned four NFL MVP awards (2011, 2014, 2020, 2021), leading the league in passer rating six times and touchdowns four times. His 2011 season featured 4,643 yards, 45 touchdowns and a 122.5 rating.
Traded to the New York Jets in 2023, Rodgers suffered a tragic Achilles injury within minutes of debuting, missing the season. In 2024 with the Jets, he threw for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns in 17 games. Acquired by the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of 2025, he has indicated it may be his final season.
