The Green Bay Packers made a statement on Thursday.
Trading for Micah Parsons was one of the biggest moves in recent franchise history and potentially one of the biggest moves in the entire days of its existence.
They now have a superstar pass-rusher who hasn’t even entered his prime, and the last time they made that type of move, they ended up hoisting the Vince Lombardi trophy.
However, as much as everybody should be talking about them as legitimate Super Bowl contenders, NFL legend Shannon Sharpe believes they’re still not the team to beat in the NFC.
Talking to Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson on their ‘Nightcap’ show, the Hall of Fame tight end chose the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams as the two best teams in the conference.
“They’re not better than the Eagles. They’re not better than the Rams,” Sharpe said.

You can certainly give him the nod with the Eagles.
They have the most stacked roster in all of football, and they’re entering this season as the defending Super Bowl champions.
As for the Rams, they have one of the best head coaches in the game and a well-balanced roster with plenty of talent.
But as much as they should be considered a Super Bowl contender, perhaps they’re on the same tier as the Packers.
Matt LaFleur and Jordan Love now have to prove that they can dominate contending teams in the same way they do against everybody else.
They’ve also added Matthew Golden to the mix, so there should be no more margin for excuses in Green Bay this time around.
