Ranking the top 25 wide receivers in NFL history…
21. Torry Holt
Drafted sixth overall by the St. Louis Rams in 1999 out of North Carolina State, Holt quickly became a cornerstone of the “Greatest Show on Turf” offense, contributing to their high-scoring dominance.
Over ten seasons with the Rams, he amassed seven Pro Bowl selections and helped secure a Super Bowl XXXIV victory in his rookie year, catching a touchdown in the championship game.
Holt led the NFL in receiving yards in 2000 (1,635) and 2003 (1,696), and in receptions in 2003 (117). He set records for six consecutive seasons with 1,300+ yards (2000-2005) and 90+ receptions (2002-2007), earning first-team All-Pro in 2003 and second-team in 2006.

Released by the Rams in 2009, Holt signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars for one season, recording 51 catches for 722 yards. He briefly joined the New England Patriots in 2010 but retired due to a knee injury, signing a ceremonial contract with the Rams in 2012.
Holt’s career totals stand at 920 receptions, 13,382 yards and 74 touchdowns across 173 games, ranking him 17th all-time in receiving yards upon retirement.
Holt’s standout attributes were his elite speed, precise route-running and reliable hands, allowing him to separate from defenders effortlessly. His playing style was that of a polished technician: consistent, explosive in the open field, and adept at yards after catch, forming a dynamic duo with Isaac Bruce.
