Drafted sixth overall by the Atlanta Falcons in 2011 out of Alabama, Jones immediately emerged as a dominant force, blending size and speed to terrorize defenses.
Over ten seasons with the Falcons, he earned seven Pro Bowl nods and led the NFL in receiving yards twice (1,871 in 2015, 1,677 in 2018), setting franchise records for receptions (136 in 2015) and yards in a season.
Jones posted five straight 1,400+ yard campaigns (2014-2018), an NFL record, and became the fastest to 10,000 (104 games), 11,000, and 12,000 yards. His 2016 season included a 300-yard game, the sixth in league history, and he starred in [Super Bowl LI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=016LXFHpFCk) with a iconic sideline catch despite the Falcons’ collapse.

Traded to the Tennessee Titans in 2021, Jones battled injuries but contributed 31 catches for 434 yards. He then joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022, aiding their playoff push with 24 receptions for 299 yards and two scores, before a limited stint with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023 (11 catches, 74 yards, three TDs). He retired in 2025.
Jones’s career totals stand at 914 receptions, 13,703 yards and 66 touchdowns (including rushing) across 166 games, with the second-highest yards per game average (82.5) in NFL history and 59 games over 100 yards, tied for third all-time.

Jones’s standout attributes were his imposing frame, elite speed and leaping ability, making him a matchup nightmare in contested situations. His playing style was that of a physical specimen: explosive off the line, masterful at route stems and dominant after the catch with strength to break tackles.

He’s eyed for future Hall of Fame induction as one of the era’s top receivers.
