Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – David Raya – 5/10 – a bad pass in the first half could have led to a goal if Virgil van Dijk had made a better decision on the ball. However, he had no chance with Szoboszlai’s free kick.
RB – Jurrien Timber – 7/10 – had the better of Cody Gakpo for the most part, but he couldn’t get forward often enough to support the dangerous Noni Madueke.
CB – William Saliba – N/A – the centre-back went off early on with a foot injury. Hopefully, he will be back fit after the international break.
CB – Gabriel – 8/10 – the Brazilian defender came out on top against the in-form Hugo Ekitike.
LB – Riccardo Calafiori – 8/10 – kept Mo Salah quiet and got forward to support the attack, including hitting a shot wide.
