Travis Kelce Shocks Fans With His Physics Knowledge: 'This Is Awesome!'

Many football players are not known for their academic knowledge, though fans were left in shock when a video of Travis Kelce explaining physics to his Kansas City Chiefs teammates went viral.

In a video shared via X on Sunday, August 31, Kelce, 35, was seen talking to the other members of the football team.

"Hopefully I make a little bit more sense this year than I did last year, huh? Talk some physics. You guys know Newton? Isaac Newton?" Kelce said as he stood at the front of the room.

The tight end went on to explain Newton's first law of motion. "When we're running routes, we're bodies in motion. We're all all big dudes," he said as he wrote on a whiteboard, explaining that he and his teammates had to use their larger sizes while playing the game.

After explaining the second law of motion, Kelce said that they "always have force in our back pocket. No matter who's in front of us, how we're running our route, we always have force. We have acceleration, we have mass. We are the trump card."

The clip continued with Kelce showing the team a past play and explaining how physics led to him catching the ball.

"The biggest thing for me is my demeanor, how ... am I showing him the direction I'm going in or does he have to guess about that three way go that I'm gonna try to put him in?" Kelce concluded before his teammates cheered for him.

After the clip was shared on social media, several fans expressed their surprise over Kelce's knowledge of physics. "'Travis Kelce can't read' he's a math & physics professor and the smartest in his position, play to your strengths people," one person wrote via X, while another sarcastically added, "Oh but I heard he wasn't smart :)"

"His voice is very soothing when he is just lecturing. It's so cool to see him be serious and proud of his craft," a third person commented, while another wrote, "We love an educated TE."

An additional social media went on to predict that Kelce and his fiancée Taylor Swift's "kids are gonna be geniuses."

Meanwhile, others pointed out that they appreciated seeing the behind the scenes aspect of football. "This is awesome! I love hearing behind the scenes of a sport I love so much!" another fan commented.
