Sports bettors win big on Lee Corso parlay

Lee Corso had the perfect goodbye present for all the sports bettors out there who put their trust in his college football expertise.

Corso appeared on ESPN’s “College GameDay” on Saturday for the final time after a pillar of the show since its inception. As is tradition, Corso gave out his picks for six marquee matchups for this season’s opening weekend. Just like he did for the very first show in 1987, Corso put on Ohio State headgear to signify he was backing the No. 3 Buckeyes to win their Week 1 game against No. 1 Texas.

Aside from Ohio State, Corso also picked three other underdog teams to pull off upsets. He went with No. 9 LSU over No. 4 Clemson, No. 10 Miami over No. 6 Notre Dame, and unranked Florida State over No. 8 Alabama. Corso also had No. 24 Tennessee and No. 13 South Carolina taking care of business against their unranked opponents.

After Carson Beck led Miami to an emotional win over Notre Dame on Sunday, Corso officially went 6/6 on his final “College GameDay” picks. While the exact betting odds varied per sportsbook and time of bet placement, the six-leg parlay gave bettors about 100-to-1 odds.

Lee Corso went a perfect 6/6 in his final picks.

A $100 parlay on his picks would’ve netted $10,296.86. Absolute wizard. 🐐 pic.twitter.com/Vf4AJiW92T
