Penix Jr. played in five games last season, starting in three of them. His numbers weren't off-the-charts impressive, but it's a big ask for a rookie to step up in the midst of an 8-9 season. This time, he'll enter the season prepared for the task at hand. At his disposal will be a slew of talented teammates, including running back Bijan Robinson – who accumulated 1,456 yards and 14 rushing touchdowns last year – and wideout Drake London, who wow-ed the entire league with 1,271 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns.
This trio of offensive leaders, all of them below the age of 25, is enough to make any football fan optimistic. If all the plans materialize, this could be an exceptional team for the foreseeable future.
