Arsenal continue summer clear-out
Nelson has been linked with a number of clubs during this transfer window, including Fulham and Crystal Palace, but he has now committed to a temporary spell at Brentford. Arsenal have been looking to offload several players this summer and Nelson looks set to join the list of those departing.
Outgoings so far include:
Karl Hein – Werder Bremen (loan)
Jorginho – Flamengo (end of contract)
Marquinhos – Cruzeiro (permanent)
Thomas Partey – Villarreal (end of contract)
Nuno Tavares – Lazio (permanent)
Kieran Tierney – Celtic (end of contract)
Takehiro Tomiyasu – released
Gunners strengthen with seven signings
Despite the departures, Arsenal have enjoyed one of their busiest transfer windows in recent memory, bringing in seven players, with Piero Hincapie still expected to arrive before tonight’s 7pm deadline.
Kepa Arrizabalaga – Chelsea (permanent)
Eberechi Eze – Crystal Palace (permanent)
Viktor Gyokeres – Sporting Lisbon (permanent)
Noni Madueke – Chelsea (permanent)
Cristhian Mosquera – Valencia (permanent)
Christian Norgaard – Brentford (permanent)
Martin Zubimendi – Real Sociedad (permanent)
There could yet be more transfer activity before the window closes. Will Arsenal surprise fans with another exciting addition?
