Moving away: Oleksandr Zinchenko
Arsenal Football Newsletter
Zinchenko has been hoping to secure a move away from Arsenal all summer after slipping down the pecking order.
The left-back had been a target for Marseille, but his wages - believed to be north of £100,000-a-week - were said to be a stumbling block.
Zinchenko is now set to join Forest on loan for the season, however, after they made a late swoop for him.
Forest had been working on a deal for Atletico Madrid full-back Javi Galan, but have moved for Zinchenko after negotiations with the Spanish club collapsed.
The Ukraine international is due to be out of contract next summer, when he will be a free agent.
Zinchenko’s departure was part of a busy transfer deadline day for Arsenal, which saw Albert Sambi Lokonga, Fabio Vieira and Jakub Kiwior leave the club.
Versatile defender Piero Hincapie, able to play as both a left-back and a centre-back, was also signed in his position with hours left in the transfer window.

Forest are also due to bring in Strasbourg winner Dilane Bakwa before the end of the day. Sky Sports report that he has been at the City Ground today as the clubs worked to complete a transfer.
The 23-year-old Frenchman leaves Chelsea’s sister club for a reported fee of €35m (£30.2m).
