Jakub Kiwior has joined Porto on a season-long loan deal, with an obligation to buy from Arsenal on transfer deadline day.
Jakub Kiwior has been deemed surplus to requirements this season by Mikel Arteta, with Arsenal confirming he’d be departing just after the window shut on Monday morning.
The Polish international, despite often performing for the Gunners, found himself way down the pecking order with the arrival of Piero Hincapie, which piled even more pressure on him, alongside Cristian Mosquera joining.
He’s reacted to his Emirates exit on social media with a tearful goodbye message.

Jakub Kiwior sends a message on Arsenal exit
Kiwior wrote on Instagram: “I would like to thank all the people and fans I met along my journey at Arsenal. These were unforgettable moments that will stay with me forever. Thank you, Gunners.”
A touching tribute, and a player that will be missed around the Emirates.
Kiwior has been at Arsenal for two-and-a-half years after arriving from Italian side Spezia in January 2023.
In that time, he made 68 appearances and became a fan favourite despite not always being in the starting XI.
A versatile player and a team player – he will be missed, but Arsenal are onto bigger and better things.
Piero Hincapie will be even better than Kiwior for Arsenal
Hincapie has been described as the final piece of the puzzle for Arsenal as their ludicrous spend goes up once more.
💬 “I was convinced because they want to win big things and trophies.”

Kiwior is versatile, but Hincapie is probably more so, and he’ll be vital throughout the season – particularly with an abundance of Arsenal injuries.
Arteta now has no excuses – can they win the Premier League title at long last this season?
