Buffalo Bills

If you observed the work of Josh Allen during his MVP season – and you likely did, as the Superman QB has morphed his Buffalo Bills into being must-see TV – you likely had to press your face against your screen to see what in the world he’s referring to when he talks of being even better in 2025.
“There are still so many things I can grow from,” Allen said this week.
There are?
Allen, 29, spearheads one of the most consistently explosive offenses in football, and the Bills are once again a Super Bowl contender this year – and he’s the main reason why.
So what’s all this crowing about “growing” about?
The Bills will open their season on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens and in advance of that powerhouse showdown, Allen told SI that in 2024 “there were things I missed.”
“There are still so many things I can grow from, mainly with my eyes and my feet,” Allen said. “I’m still working mechanically and trying to be as sound as possible. … Looking back at the tape last year, there were four or five touchdowns that I missed, which would have been walk-ins.
“They could have helped us and put us in a better situation.”
We suppose that’s always the case, even for a QB who in the air led the NFL with a QBR of 77.3 with a total of 41 TDs scored and just six interceptions.
So, the next step … Evolution?
“I think about it a lot: eventually my game will have to evolve,” he said.
All of this looms as the scary thought for foes of the perennial AFC East champion, who have won the division five straight times but who – despite going to the Super Bowl four straight times in the 1990’s – have never won The Big Game.
That’s what Buffalo’s really missing. That’s the evolution Allen truly wishes to key.
