Saquon Barkley had a record-breaking, one-of-a-kind debut season with the Philadelphia Eagles — and players across the league saw it the same way.
Barkley took the top spot, No. 1 overall, in the NFL’s Top 100 Players of 2025, the league announced on Monday night.
The top 100 players list is voted on annually by players across the NFL.
Barkley is one of eight Eagles to make this year’s top 100. He joins quarterback Jalen Hurts (No. 19), offensive tackle Lane Johnson (No. 23), linebacker Zack Baun (No. 26), wide receiver A.J. Brown (No. 29), defensive tackle Jalen Carter (No. 43), cornerback Quinyon Mitchell (No. 49), defensive back Cooper DeJean (No. 60) and offensive tackle Jordan Mailata (No. 69).
Barkley, the former Penn State star, had an unbelievable campaign after joining Philadelphia as a free agent signing from the New York Giants. Barkley became the ninth running back in NFL history to rush for 2,000-plus yards and won the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year.
Barkley also rushed for 499 yards and five touchdowns in the postseason, guiding the Eagles to wins over the Packers, Rams, Commanders and Chiefs, winning Super Bowl LIX.
Barkley isn’t eyeing another 2,000-yard season in 2025. Achieving that feat just happened, he said; it wasn’t necessarily a goal. But he does, of course, hope to win a second Super Bowl.
Barkley and the Eagles will start their Super Bowl defense on Thursday night when they welcome the Micah Parsons-less Dallas Cowboys to Lincoln Financial Field.
