NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - It’s finally game week in the NFL. The Tennessee Titans open the regular season Sunday in Denver against the Broncos.
The Titans are eager to turn the page from last year’s 3-14 campaign, and now get the chance to take a step forward.
Head coach Brian Callahan, who enters his second season, says Tennessee is a team that’s in improving-mode right now. On Sunday, they get to show their fans exactly where they stand.
“You’re ready to see it all put on display and sometimes it goes exactly like you think and sometimes it goes entirely the opposite,” said Callahan.
“That’s just the nature of week one, I think, in general. I’m also very hesitant that I don’t think Week 1, as we all know, there’s— whether you succeed or don’t succeed in Week 1 certainly doesn’t have anything to do with the rest of your season. It’s one week out of 17 and you have to maintain that perspective, but I’m excited about it. You get an extra two weeks to think about it, and we’ll be ready to roll. It’s going to be a really tough test and I’m looking forward to seeing how we respond."

The Broncos defense led the NFL with 63 sacks in 2024.
The Titans rebuilt their offensive line with the idea of keeping rookie quarterback Cam Ward upright and effective.
Now, it’s time to see what they’ve got.
Kickoff between the Titans and Broncos is 3:05pm CT.
